The magnificent and historical Lodhi Fort is one of the central attractions in Ludhiana. It was built by Sikander Lodhi about 500 years ago. Although this centuries old fort is in ruins now, it has not lost its charm which is why tourists still visit it to take a walk down the lanes of this grand beauty.
The Nehru Rose Garden was established in the year 1967 and covers an area of more than 30 acres. It is home to more than 17,000 plants and 1600 different species of roses. It is one of the largest rose gardens in Asia and is definitely a sight to behold. Every year a Rose festival is organized here displaying a variety of flowers.
It was built in the memory of the soldiers who fought different battles in defense of their land. The Maharaja Ranjit Singh War Museum was constructed by the Punjab Government in 1999 and is spread across 4 acres of land. The galleries here contain artifacts and war memorabilia from different eras. A light and sound show is also organized every evening in its lawn that narratesstories of the battles and the war heroes.
It is a historical Gurudwara located near the village of Alamgir. It is revered as a religious destination for the Sikhs as Guru Gobind Singh, the tenth guru of the Sikhs, stayed here for a short while. There are many folklores associated with this Gurudwara. Devotees from different parts of the world visit it to seek blessings of the Almighty.
